A big thanks to all those involved who assisted in making it such a great day. As part of this festival, a photography competition, “Focus on Creeks”, was held and the winning entries were displayed. I was pleased that through the Ward Community Development Fund I was able to contribute $1,000 towards the prizes. The photos reveal the wonderful and almost secret life of our creeks. The photos can be viewed on the Sown website:

There were 2 prize categories, Over 18 and under 18.
Photos must be taken within the Enoggera Creek Catchment (which includes Fish, Ithaca and Breakfast Creeks as well) and be on the themes of "Creek Critters", " Community and Creeks" and "Native Plants of Enoggera".
Winning (1st) prize in the SOWN Focus on Creeks Photo Competition in the under 16's catergory, was Liam Barratt, aged 6. pictured here in the photo with Mark Crocker, SOWN coordinator of the photo competition and myself. Congratulations Liam.
