Cr Geraldine Knapp at the new upgrade Enchanted Forest, Ashgrove

Over the past eleven years I have committed to upgrading playground equipment in the Parks which has reached its use-by date within the Ward.   Last year a new playground was installed in Jubilee Park and this financial year Paten Park in The Gap and Seils Park in Ashgrove will have new playground equipment installed.  The final designs have been chosen after extensive community surveys and meetings with interested parents. 

Work will commence on both playgrounds in the new year and will be ready by May 2008.  Now these playgrounds have been funded partly from my Wards Parks Trust Fund and $100,000 from the Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund. 

Over the next 4 years I will continue to upgrade and replace the playground equipment in Frank Waters Park, St Johns Avenue Park, Amarina Park, Nicholas Park and Yoorala Street Park.
